| | | - Canadian National Railway Police Service (CN Rail)
- CN Rail was a Crown Corporation until 1995 when it was privatized by the federal government. As such, the CNR Police Service is now a private police service enforcing all criminal and provincial laws on properties owned, operated and administered by Canadian National (CN). CN has rail lines in Canada and the United States including some of the lines used by the Government of Ontario Transit (GO Transit) throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA.) Due to this privatization the service had a reduction in manpower as it had become a tax paying corporation thereby entitling CN to the municipal and provincial policing efforts already established across the nation.
The Service has been in existance since 1923. In 2005 the BC Rail Police Service amalgamated with the CN Police to fall in line with that rail merger. In the US the Illinois Central Railroad Police, Grand Trunk Railway Police, Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad Police, and Wisconsin Central Transportation Police also amalgamated into the CN Police Service.

| | | - Canadian Pacific Police Service (CP Rail)
- The Canadian Pacific Police Service has been in existance since 1913 and had at one time been called the Canadian Pacific Investigation Department. Merged rail systems "Delaware & Hudson Railway" and "Soo Lines Railway" were fully acquired by CPRail in the early 1990s and their police service patches are depicted here. CPPS did not start using shoulder flashes on shirts until the 1990s, with flashes being used on coats only up to this time. Uniform shirts were limited to epaulettes with rank and agency markings previous to this.

Canada Coast Guard -
Formed on January 28, 1962, the Canadian Coast Guard and is answerable to the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans. This civilian agency is resposible for several areas of maritime enforcement as a partner to the RCMP and other agencies. In it's enforcement role CCG provides support for - Search & Rescue - Offshore, mid-shore & coastal fisheries enforcement - Integrated Border Enforcement Teams (IBETs) with the RCMP and Canada Border Services Agency Unlike the United States Coast Guard (USCG), CCG is a civilian, non-paramilitary organisation. The enforcement of laws in Canada's territorial sea is the responsibility of Canada's federal police force, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) as all ocean waters in Canada are under federal (not provincial) jurisdiction. Saltwater fisheries enforcement is a specific responsibility of DFO's Fisheries Officers. Also, unlike the USCG, CCG does not have a "reserve" element. There is a Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (CCGA) which is a separate non-profit organization composed of some 5,000 civilian volunteers across Canada who support search and rescue activities. CCG does not have a military-style rank structure; instead, its rank structure roughly approximates that of the civilian merchant marine. - Album was created 2 years 7 months ago and modified Today, 53 minutes ago

Canadian Rangers -
The Canadian Rangers are a sub-component of the Canadian Forces reserve that provide a military presence in Canada's sparsely settled northern, coastal, and isolated areas. Formally established on May 23, 1947, the primary role of this part-time force is to conduct surveillance or sovereignty patrols (SOV PATS) as required. Some Canadian Rangers also conduct inspections of the North Warning System (NWS) sites and act as guides and scouts when southern forces are in their area of operations. Each Canadian Ranger is issued a red Canadian Ranger sweatshirt, CADPAT pants, combat boots, baseball cap, safety vest, rifle and navigation aids. The Canadian Rangers are a volunteer force made up Inuit, First Nations, Métis and non-Aboriginals. These members of the Canadian army are paid when on operations and when training and are paid an equipment usage rate when utilizing their own light over-snow vehicles, all-terrain vehicles, watercraft and other tools and equipment. - Album was created 2 years 2 months ago and modified 1 year ago

Corps of Imperial Frontiersmen Canada -
The Imperial Frontiersmen formed in England between 1904 and 1914 as a irregular volunteer force patterned after the British Military with members skilled in various logistical duties. Several members served in WW1 and as a result membership was hit hard after the first war. In Canada the Corps seperated from the British Command to become an independant entity in 1938. The Corps had renewed growth with an HQ in Edmonton and established affiliation with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and began volunteer police auxiliary duties in some municipal centers. World War 2 again hit the Corps membership. Political in-fighting caused the membership to split into two organizations; the Legion of Frontiersmen in the west and the Corps of Imperial Frontiersmen in the east. Post WW2 recruitment increased the membership and volunteers from both groups contributed to municipal auxiliary policing and civil defence training. By the 1980s and into the 1990s the Corps had almost faded into history, and only a few members remain to uphold the history and traditions of the unit. - Album was created 2 years 5 months ago and modified 2 years 5 months ago

Fisheries & Oceans Conservation & Protection -
The Department of Marine & Fisheries was created in 1867 in response to the increased fishing activities off the Canadian shores by the US and other foreign powers. It started on the East Coast (United Province of Canada, Nova Scotia & New Brunswick) and in 1871 the Department started work in British Columbia. The Heraldic Crest originally depicted a codfish against a net on a blue-green background, bordered by 10 maple leaves and surmounted the Royal Crown. It is now a silver salmon, displayed on a fish net of gold mesh over a sea green background. The net is framed by a circle of gold rope which is flanked by four gold maple leaves on either side representing the Department’s eight management regions (1981). Underlying this a gold-edged green banner with the word Canada emblazoned on it in gold. The entire design is surmounted by the Royal Crown. - Album was created 2 years 10 months ago and modified 1 year 8 months ago

Parks Canada - Warden -
The Warden Service began in Canada's first established Rocky Mountains Park (now Banff) in 1909. A small force called Fire and Game Guardians was created to enforce federal policy. In 1914 Park Commissioner Harkin chose the name “Wardens” for his staff. It is believed he chose this term to differentiate Canadian park officers from their American "Ranger" counterparts. The early days saw Wardens focusing on predator control, fire suppression and the pursuit of 'Poachers'. These jobs morphed over the years into the modern role of National Park Warden, whose duties included resource management, law enforcement and public safety. In 2008 Parks Canada announced that Park Wardens duties would only include enforcement of natural resource acts in National Parks. After 99 years of generalist duties, Park Wardens roles have been dramatically changed. A new, yet unnamed group, is taking over the remaining broad suite of jobs traditionally conducted by Park Wardens. In 2009, 85 enforcement positions were created from within the ranks of the Warden Service. As a result, not all National Parks will have Park Wardens stationed in them. The remaining ~350 former Park Wardens have lost their peace officer status and traditional Stetsons and dress uniforms. Parks Canada is working on new job descriptions and titles for these EX-Park Wardens, who will now wear the generic Parks Canada red and green uniform sported by Visitor Services and Technical Services staff.
